URGENT NEED FOR ELECTORAL REFORMS FOR A TRANSPERENT,RESPONSIBLE,SELFCONFIDENT DEMOCRACY..

As now-a-days , election fever is everywhere..thatswhy i choosed this topic.

Here a question arises..what is democracy ?
in a layman's term..DEMOCRACY is BY PEOPLE,FOR PEOPLE,OF PEOPLE.But DEMOCRACY has a vast definition.DEMOCRACY is a form of GOVERNMENT in which power is held directly or indirectly by citizens under a free electoral system.

After democracy , lets switch to POLITICS , these are the persons,whom we elect. without them this democracy is meaningless.we all will agree that in INDIA , a dirty game of politics is going on.Now we people should think ," why dirty???"as it is a part of democracy,then "why dirty?"....

Let me sketch the pictures of political ills in present scenario,what is really going on in politics,now-a-days.

As we all know,our whole system is corrupt.the question arises , "what do we mean by being corrupt??" .Corrupt means willing to act dishonestly in turns for money or personal gain.

Now-a-days politicians are becoming very self-fish.They are only interested for self needs.They even don't bother for neither country's need nor people's need.

Many of the politicians and members are uneducated.Some are just literate but few are educated to the desired level.

In politics religion ,cast have divided our nation in many subparts and are threatening nation's integrity,nation's pride.

In current scenario,there are many politicians who have criminal records,which can do harm to our nation,our people.

Now politicians are using muscle power and forcing the public to elect them.They are buying votes.The recent example is the cash display in LOK SABHA.

We in INDIA, people are spending more money in election.In USA election,
8,000 cores had been used.But in our nation, expenditure is about 10000 cores .


We can say ,because of all this things , our young educated youth is not interested in politics.They even don't want to be a part of this system.Since they are disgusted and even frustrated.

These are the reasons.But as we know , every problem has a solution.So lets try some solutions to achieve and operate a clean and corrupt free democratic system.

In my opinion,there should be a minimum educational qualification for politicians.If a politician have a criminal record,he shouldn't be allowed to even contest for the election.There should also be a age limit for politicians .

I think, there should be some revolution in voting system.Now-a-days,people are forced to choose a candite among a list.I will suggest ,there should be a option like
"NONE OF THE ABOVE".So that politicians can know ,people are not satisfied with their work and performance.If people have the right to elect them,then they should have a rejection power also.People should have a right to reject these candidates.

There should be a method like "POWER OF RECALL".It means ,if one elected candidate is not doing his work properly what people are expecting from him after election and during the working period or involved in any unethical practice then voters can exercise the power and recalled the elected representatives and can take the whole power of ruling from that candidate , back from him.

The elected representatives should be properly,suitably trained and sensitized to operate and manage their work as a elected representative.

There should be some public awareness programs like JAGORE.COM.

Lastly ,for a successful operation of democratic system in the country,it is the little poor man in he polling booth.who excise his power of vote in electing the elected representatives.Let this dream , aspiration and hope , for a better democractic india,be fulfilled ,to the maximum.It is that little poor man,in the villege,matters the most ,who goes to the polling booth and give his vote to elect the people representatives.


Let be united to make this INDIA, a better place to live in.
